MoFo 55 Combo - MoFo Series

Developed from the ground up the Mofo 55 combo is designed for the gigging player who needs more; More tonal shaping, more gain, more power, more connectivity, all in a compact package. Combined with the footswitchable Mofo boost usable on either channel, tonal variety ranges from spanking cleans through to jaw shattering overdrive. The Mofo 55 truly covers all the bases needed by today’s hard working, hard rocking player plus the added reassurance that every Mofo 55 combo is built by hand in England from start to finish.

Lovingly made in the UK using only the finest components the Mofo 55 is available as either a head or a 1x12 combo. The Mofo 55 has two footswitchable channels both featuring independent gain and volume controls. The much loved Mofo boost can be applied to either channel, taking clean to crunch dirty to filthy and anywhere in between at the click of a button.

The all new preamp has a set of three push buttons which can be used in different combinations to affect the amount of low end frequencies passing through – drastically changing the character of the amplifier and perfect for matching the type of guitar being used and the tone required quickly, and with minimal fuss. Channel changing and Mofo Boost can be controlled via the front panel push buttons or by using the supplied dual button footswitch.

The tonal benefits continue with the painstakingly fine tuned passive eq. Treble, middle and bass controls are shared by both channels plus FX send and return sockets that are conveniently located on the front panel. At the heart of the hand built all valve monster lies 4xECC83 valves in the preamp and a power section fuelled by 2x6550 output valves, combined with huge oversized custom made transformers the Mofo 55 an amplifier that is likely to win every battle.
